As you are all aware we are in financial crisis. Steven and I are going to contact our Congressmen because we believe this bail-out is unacceptable. Dave Ramsey has outlined an alternative to the situation. I have included the letter that we have written (most Steven has written). You can use it if you want. I encourage you to write to your Congressmen at this time. They should be representing us, the people, yet we continue to slide down a path towards socialism and embrace liberty threatening principles. If you do agree with the bail-out, write your Congressmen. Make your voice heard.


We are some of your constituents and are contacting you because we believe in your fervent desire to represent our wishes in the Congress of the United States as outlined in your oath. You doubtlessly have a very busy schedule so we will try to be brief.

It is clear that the responsibility of a representative is to represent the peoples’ requests even in times when the representative’s personal ideals or opinions may conflict with the desires of the employers. If we, the people, send this person with instructions to buy a $20 hog and he returns with a $25 cow then he has failed us. He may try to convince us that we got a deal or that our needs would be better served with the cow, but the fact remains that he violated the sovereignty that we have lent to him. If the representative feels that the decided will of the people is leading down an unwise path then he must attempt to convince them to accept his point of view. If he fails to convince, then he has two options: he must represent or he must resign with honor.

We very much appreciate the work that you do on our behalf. Here are our instructions as to what we insist that you to do.

Do not extend any bail-out loans.
Temporarily suspend the mark-to-market rule for sub-prime bonds.
Extend the FHA insurance program to cover the sub-prime bonds and guarantee the lenders.

We are the first fully successful government based on the principle that man can govern himself. Trust the people! We the people are always right even when we are wrong because we are the sovereign. If we should err we will self correct. If you fail to do your duty we will retire you in the next election. If you represent our express wishes regardless of your opinion, you will stand with pride knowing that you have served with honor protecting that sacred principle which our country was founded.

Please remember that the form of government where the wishes of the people are virtually represented by a group of individuals making enlightened decisions on our behalf is an aristocracy.
