As you are all aware we are in financial crisis. Steven and I are going to contact our Congressmen because we believe this bail-out is unacceptable. Dave Ramsey has outlined an alternative to the situation. I have included the letter that we have written (most Steven has written). You can use it if you want. I encourage you to write to your Congressmen at this time. They should be representing us, the people, yet we continue to slide down a path towards socialism and embrace liberty threatening principles. If you do agree with the bail-out, write your Congressmen. Make your voice heard.

We are some of your constituents and are contacting you because we believe in your fervent desire to represent our wishes in the Congress of the United States as outlined in your oath. You doubtlessly have a very busy schedule so we will try to be brief.

It is clear that the responsibility of a representative is to represent the peoples’ requests even in times when the representative’s personal ideals or opinions may conflict with the desires of the employers. If we, the people, send this person with instructions to buy a $20 hog and he returns with a $25 cow then he has failed us. He may try to convince us that we got a deal or that our needs would be better served with the cow, but the fact remains that he violated the sovereignty that we have lent to him. If the representative feels that the decided will of the people is leading down an unwise path then he must attempt to convince them to accept his point of view. If he fails to convince, then he has two options: he must represent or he must resign with honor.

We very much appreciate the work that you do on our behalf. Here are our instructions as to what we insist that you to do.

Do not extend any bail-out loans.
Temporarily suspend the mark-to-market rule for sub-prime bonds.
Extend the FHA insurance program to cover the sub-prime bonds and guarantee the lenders.

We are the first fully successful government based on the principle that man can govern himself. Trust the people! We the people are always right even when we are wrong because we are the sovereign. If we should err we will self correct. If you fail to do your duty we will retire you in the next election. If you represent our express wishes regardless of your opinion, you will stand with pride knowing that you have served with honor protecting that sacred principle which our country was founded.

Please remember that the form of government where the wishes of the people are virtually represented by a group of individuals making enlightened decisions on our behalf is an aristocracy.

My husband and I have been having the same discussion for a long time now. It is a good reminder and it is encouraging when we see astounding things in the news such as Obama thinking he is above the Presidential Seal by changing it to a FREAKING O!! Who is this guy? Seriously? I’m asking….Anyway, I have decided to share a fraction of our discussion with you.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable, Rights that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

The beginning of this paragraph in the Declaration of Independence is considered by many to be the most important 35 words written in American history. It is important that we remember that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are rights granted to us by our Creator. Though I believe a government is not just when they purposely snatch these rights from a people, the government does not owe us these rights and the duty in protecting them ultimately lies in us, the individual. It is not their responsibility to provide life, liberty, and happiness to its citizens. These rights are individual and sought by individuals. However, if the government does start to impose its arrogant beliefs on its people and make decisions for the masses without the consent of the masses, and these decisions began to steal from one or two classes of people in order to take care of other classes of people, this is unacceptable. The word “fair” is very tricky, isn’t it. We teach our children that Robin Hood is good because it is “fair” to steal from the rich and give to the poor. Assuming that the rich worked hard for their money and were not once themselves looters, how is this “fair” for the rich? Do I believe that if we have more than our neighbor we have a moral responsibility to reach out when they need us? I do, but only after all other resources have been exhausted and only after they have proved that they truly cannot do their duty. And I do believe that many people are not capable of many things due to physical and mental restraints, and even their ideology and yes, they need help. This help, I believe, should come voluntarily from private institutions, churches, and individuals, not from the government tearing our hard work from the grips of our fingers and then dispersing it they see fit. Aren’t the needs of people in Idaho different from those in Florida, Kansas, and New York city? Yet we allow the federal government to pluck our belongings from our back pockets and we seem to sit around and say “oh, well.”

Many people have memorized the first 35 words of the Declaration of Independence but I think it is time we start to memorize the latter half. It OUR right to alter or abolish it. Our right! This can be done one of two ways, we can have another bloody revolution, or, we can take responsibility and vote honestly and with integrity. We should not be satisfied with the nominees for government office if nothing has changed and we shouldn’t give in and vote for one candidate because he/she is lesser of the two evils! We need to start talking to each other, writing our congressmen, and telling people to WAKE UP! We need to quit focusing on the old saying “one person can’t make a difference” and begin looking beyond the one person. Once person may not be able to reach thousands unless you somehow get AV time at a major league baseball game, but one person can start a discussion which can be spread to many people who can make a difference. When the Second Amendment of the constitution is barely upheld in the federal Supreme Court it is time to get worried. It is time to do something about the vision of our founding fathers.

READ ATLAS SHRUGGED!

It’s been a while since I have posted and I don’t have any anti-anxiety pills on me so I’m going to avoid the political rant. I finished the book Atlas Shrugged a few months ago. If you have not read this book you should. Every person capable of reading should and if you are illiterate, get the book on tape. It is prophetic, so prophetic it is scary. If you haven’t read it go get it today. It is long and may seem intimidating, but it is easy reading. Just stick with it!

Global Warming Rhymes with... This is Stupid

I like to call Global Warming modern day Hitler indoctrination. Let’s think about this for a second. Hypothetically the environment is in danger because of carbon emissions. In order to reverse this effect, we have to decrease carbon emissions by decreasing energy output - buying certain cars, light bulbs etc. This is already being implemented. In some states we can’t heat or cool our homes as we would like. Have a sick kid who can’t be in the cold…too bad. Our purchase freedoms are being imposed on; not only by a federal government, but possibly a global government. Wave hello to the new world order!

Here is a quick run-down. Interestingly, Al Gore comes out with An Inconvenient Truth. Rather than questioning the data, companies like NBC (who is 80% owned by General Electric GE) pushed it down our throats. It was accepted as doctrine by Universities and is now a global truth, and if you question it, you are as those who thought the earth to be flat…that is how dumb you are. As a result, cars are changing; incandescent light bulbs will be phased out by the year 2010, and presidential candidates make solving global warming their agenda. And why not, you control what happens to the environment you control EVERYTHING: the water, air, power, oceans, the world! But what if we have a private jet we have to fly or a chicken farm we have to run. What do we do? Can you say Carbon Credits? Well, let’s say that you have a carbon footprint that is off the charts (Al Gore) and in order to fix that you can spend money and buy carbon credits which makes sense because spending money actually decreases your carbon output. Now, stay with me….two of the main characters in this Carbon Credit scheme are Maurice Strong and Al Gore. Hahahahaha this is so great. Did you know that Al Gore buys his own carbon credits FROM HIMSELF????!!!! That’s right. He buys them from a company called Generation Investment Management LLP of which he is both the chairman and founding partner. Strong is the silent partner. http://www.generationim.com/ (The one who didn’t make the movie and win a Nobel prize for bringing awareness to the ignorant about how we are all going to die from more hurricanes, famines, and rising ocean levels due to global warming.) Now doesn’t it seem like a fantastic idea to create a movie that will scare the hell out of anyone, go on speaking tours with the same agenda, and then benefit by earning billions from that scare? After all, “Integrating issues such as climate change into investment analysis is simply common sense.” (Al Gore)

I know, I know you are thinking, “but global warming is real, it isn’t a scam, its real dammit!” Here are some interesting stats that may make your hair rise. Watch how the scientists and reporters never acknowledge the fact that global warming could be, um, crap!

Even though these stats are available, and every day, evidence that global warming does not exist creeps up, yet we still take it. The scientists will never admit they are wrong, we need to do something, we need to begin spreading the word. What does it mean if we don’t? It means, our candidates for president will spend billions of dollars to create jobs for, and fix a problem that doesn’t exist, it means our lives could be governed based on false information, it means, creeps like Al Gore could become billionaires because he assumes we are ignorant, and it means, we do not understand the power of nature.

Constitution of the Global Nation

In order to assure that humans do not experience sadness, depression, anger, or happiness in front of others which would cause them to feel the aforementioned unless brought about by natural death of an associate, family member, pet, or destroyed environment; to apply principles that ignore human reaction and emotion; to take away choice in order to prevent incorrect choice according to the unwritten laws of humanity; to preserve the earth from any further evolutionary change due to the offense taken by members of the society when the fittest do not survive or are forced to change due environmental factors; we, the undersigned do unite and adopt and ordain the following articles.

ARTICLE I

Section 1. All history that contains violence, an overturn of a group or leader; implies sadness and destruction; illustrates protest and assembly against another group, individual, or idea, shall be prohibited in schools and talk among family, friends, associates, neighbors or any being that qualifies as “human” in order to preserve fairness of all people.

America has been off track for some time, heading towards a government where individual rights that are guaranteed by our constitution are slowly being plucked away. It seems we have come to a crossroads. With the upcoming election, we can choose to become a socialist nation and allow a few elite decide (because the general public is too stupid to do it) how we should live our lives, what to do with our property, and how best to spend the money we work for. Hmmm…seems contradictory to what the founding fathers thought of an imposing government. Jefferson said, “"Those are governed best who are governed least." He also believed in the peoples’ ability to solve problems and did not think it the government’s responsibility to bail everyone out. “I know of no safe repository of the ultimate power of society but people. And if we think them not enlightened enough, the remedy is not to take the power from them, but to inform them by education.”

Of course according to many running for political office today it isn’t fair that the rich are rich. And what a brilliant point they make (sarcasm). After all, is it really fair for someone who works hard to keep his money when his neighbor didn’t make as much as he did? Why that doesn’t make sense…it’s just not fair. We should be living for the public good, right? Well, according to Obama we should because this is not an on your own society.

Note to self: When people begin depending on the government...they lose all power and control. That is NOT a democracy.

Apparently I missed the part in the constitution and historical writings by the founding fathers that claim that the underprivileged are “entitled” to other people’s belongings….yes, all have the right to the pursuit of happiness but they must pursue that happiness. Socialism takes away our right to pursue happiness because nothing is truly ours and everything is completely regulated. Hey what a brilliant plan!
